The main objective of this project is to support the growth and innovation of CLICK Digital Empowerment Inc. by analyzing and enhancing its digital strategy, legal compliance, funding opportunities, and business development efforts for small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) effectively.

Deliverables

Role #1 – Digital Experience & Web Development Intern


CLICK Digital Empowerment Inc. is seeking a Digital Experience & Web Development Intern to enhance our website’s design, functionality, user experience, and search engine visibility. As we pivot our focus from seniors to small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), this role will also support content strategy and SEO optimization. This opportunity is ideal for students passionate about web design, front-end development, accessibility, SEO, and content strategy. 


Time Commitment: 


60 Hours (February 27 – March 31, 2025) 


  • 50-55 hours – Website development, design updates, usability improvements, and content creation 
  • 5-10 hours – Meetings, communication, and revisions 


Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:


Website Development & UX/UI Enhancements 


  • Redesign and improve website pages (e.g., homepage, services page, contact page) 
  • Optimize website layout, navigation, and accessibility for a seamless user experience 
  • Implement a fully responsive design to enhance mobile compatibility 
  • Integrate interactive features (e.g., hover effects, dynamic sections, forms) 


Content Strategy & Website Pivot to SMEs 


  • Ensure all website content aligns with SME business needs and highlights CLICK’s value proposition 
  • Conduct a content accessibility review and make necessary updates to improve readability 


SEO Optimization & Blog Content Creation 


  • Optimize web pages for SEO, improving metadata, headings, and internal linking 
  • Increase site speed by optimizing images and fixing performance issues 
  • Draft and publish a blog page with at least three SEO-optimized blog posts 
  • Conduct keyword research and implement key SEO strategies to improve organic traffic 


Role #2 - Legal & AI Governance Research Intern


CLICK Digital Empowerment Inc. is seeking a Legal & AI Governance Research Intern to assist in drafting key legal documents and researching AI governance frameworks for SMEs. This role is ideal for students with an interest in law, ethics, and AI policy who want to ensure businesses remain legally compliant in the digital space. 


Time Commitment: 


60 Hours (February 27 - March 31, 2025) 


  • 50-55 hours – Drafting legal documents & AI governance research 
  • 5-10 hours – Meetings, communication, and revisions 

 

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables: 


Draft & Update Legal Documents 


  • Draft or update at least five key legal documents, including: 
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) 
  • Privacy Policy 
  • Media Consent Form 
  • Cancellation Policy 
  • Website User Agreement 
  • Ensure all drafted documents align with Canadian data privacy and AI governance standards 


AI Governance & Compliance Research 


  • Conduct research on AI regulation, ethics, and data privacy 
  • Create a research summary report (5-7 pages) on best practices for AI governance in SMEs 
  • Identify at least three key risks associated with AI implementation for SMEs and provide recommendations

 

Role #3 – Business Development & Funding Intern


CLICK Digital Empowerment Inc. is seeking a Business Development & Funding Intern to research and secure revenue opportunities, including grants, partnerships, sponsorships, competitions, and other funding streams. This role is ideal for students with strong research, writing, and strategic thinking skills who want hands-on experience in business growth. 


Time Commitment: 60 Hours (February 27 – March 31, 2025) 


  • 50-55 hours – Research, applications, outreach, and proposal writing 
  • 5-10 hours – Meetings, communication, and revisions 


Responsibilities & Deliverables: 


Revenue & Funding Research 


  • Deliverable: A detailed funding database listing at least 10 relevant funding opportunities (grants, sponsorships, competitions, or investment programs) with eligibility criteria and deadlines 
  • Identify grants, sponsorships, government funding, and investment opportunities applicable to CLICK 
  • Research pitching competitions, accelerator programs, and strategic partnerships for funding 
  • Analyse eligibility criteria and assess feasibility for different funding sources 


Grant & Proposal Writing 


  • Deliverable: At least 2 drafted grant applications or funding proposals tailored to specific opportunities 
  • Draft compelling grant applications, sponsorship proposals, and pitch decks 
  • Prepare financial justifications, business case summaries, and impact statements 
  • Tailor applications to align with funder requirements and CLICK’s mission 


Business Growth & Collaborations 


  • Deliverable: A report outlining at least 3 potential partnership or sponsorship opportunities with contact details and outreach strategies 
  • Research and propose partnerships or collaborations that could generate revenue 
  • Explore advertising or sponsorship opportunities for CLICK’s podcast or other digital platforms 
  • Assist in outreach efforts to secure partnerships and funding commitments

 

Role #4 – Digital Strategy Research Intern (SME Solutions)


CLICK Digital Empowerment Inc. is seeking a Digital Strategy Research Intern to assess and enhance the digital presence of small businesses. This role is ideal for students with expertise in marketing, business strategy, or communications who want to apply research and analytical skills to real-world small business challenges. 


Time Commitment: 


60 Hours (February 27 – March 31, 2025) 


  • 50-55 hours – Research, analysis, and document drafting 
  • 5-10 hours – Meetings, revisions, and communication with the team 


Responsibilities & Deliverables: 


Digital Presence Assessments & Reports 


  • Deliverable: Write 3 digital presence assessment reports evaluating small businesses’ online presence (website, social media, SEO, branding) 
  • Analyse small businesses' existing online presence and identify strengths/weaknesses 
  • Provide 3 research-backed recommendations per business for improving digital marketing efforts 
  • Format insights into professional, easy-to-understand reports 


Market Research & Strategy Development 


  • Deliverable: A research brief summarizing industry best practices and common SME digital gaps 
  • Research industry best practices for digital marketing and online branding 
  • Support recommendations with relevant data, case studies, and competitor analysis 
  • Identify common digital gaps among SMEs and propose scalable solutions
